Teaching Exceptional Children I

This course introduces the fundamental knowledge required to support students with additional learning needs (ALSN) and/or students with special education and/or disability needs (SEND). Throughout the course students will increase their understanding of what successful practice looks like when supporting ALL learners while developing a strong pedagogical foundation. Students will know and apply the Cayman Island's Code of Practice to identify pathways for student success and determine/implement strategies for promoting learner with a focus on language and literacy development for students with disabilities. Students will attend planned school visits.
