ACCREDITATION

UCCI has received institutional and programme accreditation from various international accrediting bodies.

Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges & Universities (ASIC)

In May 2015, UCCI received institutional accreditation from ASIC, which is an independent body specialising in the accreditation of schools, colleges, universities, training organisations and online and distance education providers worldwide. Its mission is to examine the institution as a whole, along with the content and delivery of the courses, and ensure that required standards are being met. Once an institution has been accredited, ASIC is also able to work with that organisation to develop and improve its international strategies.

International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE)

In April 2017, the College of Business Studies and Professional Development at the University College of the Cayman Islands was granted first-time accreditation by the IACBE and has affirmed its commitment to excellence in business education. The IACBE’s Board of Commissioners determined that the college met all the agency's requirements, including a rigorous self-evaluation and a comprehensive, independent peer review for its degree programmes.

The IACBE was founded in 1997 and is nationally recognised in the United States by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The IACBE is the leader in mission-driven and outcomes-based programmatic accreditation in business and management education for student-centered colleges, universities and other higher education institutions throughout the world. Its mission is to promote and recognise excellence in business education in institutions of higher education worldwide, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, through specialised accreditation of business programs. The IACBE has hundreds of member institutions and campuses worldwide, and has accredited over 1,200 business and business-related programs in the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Central America and South America.
