Graduating class of 2021

Graduation Requirements

 Application for Graduation

The graduation application process commences in April of each year. Prospective graduates are required to submit a completed Application for Graduation form and pay the graduation fee by the deadline indicated on the academic calendar. This process must be completed whether or not the student intends to participate in the commencement ceremony. The form must be accompanied by a completed degree plan indicating that all academic requirements have been met and an unofficial copy of the student’s transcript. Applicants who do not qualify to graduate will be required to submit a new application form to be considered for the next year’s graduation.

 Early Bird Application for Graduation

Students who will not complete their degree requirements by the end of spring semester, but who expect to finish those requirements in the subsequent summer session, may apply for early bird graduation. A Graduation for Application form, available at the registrar’s office, or on the UCCI web site, must be completed and submitted in April, along with the requisite fee, to meet the early bird deadline published in the academic calendar. Students taking advantage of the early bird application will be assessed and advised, before the start of the summer session, of outstanding courses which they must take in order to fulfil the graduation requirements.

Role of Academic Advisors

Students should consult with their academic advisors at the latest, by the end of October of their final years. The results of the consultation should be used to inform their course choices for the spring semester and summer session.

 Bachelor’s Degree

A bachelor’s degree is conferred on students who satisfactorily complete the curriculum for a programme at that level. Students should be guided by their degree plan, or programme description in the catalogue, to confirm their eligibility for graduation.
