SCHOOL OF HOSPITALITY STUDIES

Certificate in Hospitality & Tourism

Duration: 3 semesters (full-time study)

Programme Overview: The programme is a partnership between the UCCI and the Cayman Islands Government through the Department of Tourism to prepare Caymanians with Hospitality and Tourism related Education, Training, Certification and Career guidance for the long-term hospitality success and industry leadership.

Duration: 6 semesters (full-time study)

Programme Overview: The programme is designed to prepare students for a successful and rewarding career in the Hospitality Industry.  Students develop skills that would assist them to function effective in the hospitality sector in the areas of administration, accounting, human resources, marketing, and operations.

  • Exposure to the world of work through job placement

  • Exposure to the principles, techniques and ideas involved in Hospitality Sector in the key areas: legal and illegal practices of the workplace, costing methods for maximum profitability, decision-making and key marketing principles related to hotel and restaurant businesses.

  • Transfer of Credits to Universities like Johnson and Wales for continued studies at the degree level.
