 Duration

One academic year (two semesters), consecutive, full-time OR two academic years four semesters – Fall and Spring) part-time.

Delivery Modes

Full-time schedule – 13 hours per week Part time schedule – 7 hours per week

Participants

Students wishing to enrol in a UCCI programme who do not meet the matriculation requirements for the Associate Degree programme.

Expected Outcome

Upon completion of the programme, the Student Services Department will be better able to transition students based on their abilities, interests and goals into one of three pathways: Associate Degree Programme, Certificate Programme, or gainful employ- ment/career-based programme.

Courses

 Full-time

 Semester 1 – Foundational classes – ENG 98 and MAT 98, each with additional tutorial time (mandatory), Personal and Professional Development (P&PD), Workshops, indi- vidual student meetings with Student Services Department, Student Assessment.

Total: 13 hours per week.

 Semester 2 – Preparatory classes – ENG 99 and MAT 99, each with additional tutorial time (mandatory), COL 100, Workshops, individual student meetings with Student Services Department, Final Assessment and Recommendations.

Total: 13 hours per week.

Part-time

 Semester 1 – Foundational class – ENG 98 with additional tutorial time (mandatory), Personal and Professional Development (P&PD), individual student meetings with Student Services Department, Student Assessment.

Total: 7 hours per week.

 Semester 2 – Foundational class MAT 98 with additional tutorial time (mandatory), COL 100, individual student meetings with Student Services Department

Total: 7 hours per week.

 Semester 3 – Preparatory class ENG 99 with additional tutorial time (mandatory), Workshops, individual student meetings with Student Services Department,

Total: 7 hours per week.

 Semester 4 – Preparatory class MAT 99 with additional tutorial time (mandatory), Workshops, individual student meetings with Student Services Department, Final Assessment and Recommendations.

Total: 7 hours per week.
